Our mission is to offer guests a unique and immersive experience which connects them with the diversity of aquatic life and inspires them to protect the ecosystems in which they are found, including those surrounding Montreal.
In the heart of Royalmount
The Aquarium de Montréal will be built in the heart of the Royalmount project and will become an iconic local and tourist destination in Montreal’s new midtown.
Royalmount offers an innovative approach to the way people work, learn, play and live. The Aquarium will be one of Royalmount's tenants among a wide variety of recognized brands, restaurants and activities.
Imagined and operated by the Ecorecreo Group
Founded in 1998, the Ecorecreo Group designs and operates a variety of innovative, urban outdoor leisure experiences offering physical, creative, educational, fun and eco-responsible activities for everyone.
A management company for six different brands in more than 16 service points, Écorécréo operates Voiles en Voiles, a family theme park transporting guests to a world of pirate ships and located in the Old Port of Montreal, Aquazilla inflatable water games at the Parc National d'Oka and Parc Jean-Drapeau beach , as well as the rental of summer and winter recreational equipment at several major tourist sites in Quebec, including the Old Port of Montreal, the Olympic Park and the Quartier des Spectacles.

Teamof experts
A team of experts in aquarium development and operation as well as in animal wellbeing are involved in every stage of the project’s development. Their combined years of experience surpasses 100 years developing and operating the most state-of-the art aquariums.
Internationally acclaimed architectural firm B+H will lead the design of the Aquarium de Montréal. B+H designed Toronto’s Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada and participated in several other leading-edge zoological design projects.
